Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Regional Controller to join our client's growing team. This individual will partner closely with the Regional Controller and oversee all accounting activities for one of our client's fast-growing markets, oversee staff training and development, analyze regional and divisional performance, as well as, support acquisitions from start to integration of systems and controls.
This position will require 50% travel throughout the region during the work week.
Responsibilities
- Provides oversight and guidance in all aspects of accounting including general ledger accounting, monthly close, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets ensuring adherence to established Company policies and procedures.
- Supports the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes ensuring that timelines are met and provides proper monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses.
- Consolidates and prepares financial statements and other information to support business processes and decision making within the region.
- Researches accounting issues ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Works closely with internal team to meet diverse customer invoicing and reporting needs.
- Ensures strict compliance with established internal controls to prevent possible misstatements in financial statements and oversees remediation plans as needed.
- Interacts with corporate accounting, finance, and IT groups to meet needs of the organization and supports companywide initiatives.
- Manages and provides leadership to team members by effectively communicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching team members on achieving goals, and ensuring access to training and development opportunities that assist employees in attaining the necessary skills to achieve desired team and corporate results.
- Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services
- Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety.

Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- 8-10 years of proven accounting experience
- At least 4 years of management experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
