We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Controller to join our Accounting and Finance team. Our ideal candidate is a financial expert who is excited about managing all aspects of our daily accounting operations. You will play a critical role in maintaining our financial health and making sure we are compliant with all regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who wants to take their career to the next level in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
• Ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare and present forecasting reports, including cash flow forecasts, to help guide business decisions.
• Coordinate the company's annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee the company's budgeting process, including the creation and review of annual budgets.
• Monitor internal controls, manage all aspects of the general ledger, and supervise the accounting staff.
• Collaborate with the Controller to maintain company accounting procedures and policies.
• Assist in the development of financial strategic plans.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An advanced degree such as an MBA or a professional certification like CPA is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of proven accounting experience
• Thorough knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data, along with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and to foster a cohesive and creative work environment.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think critically.
