RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and lead a team of software engineers with proven capabilities
- Build a highly motivated and capable teams by attracting and retaining the best engineers.
- An excellent understanding of the development of test automation frameworks
- Leverage modern engineering practices
- Integrate product design and manufacturing equipment engineering drawings to develop optimal manufacturing processes that meet product specifications.
- Build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with others to achieve shared objectives. Effective teamwork will be crucial.
- Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to the unique needs of different audiences. This will ensure everyone is on the same page and understands the goals and processes.
- Proactively champion health and safety behaviors. Identify, report, and participate in actions to improve health and safety, fostering an injury-free workplace.
- Identify, recommend, and select manufacturing equipment that meets company and our customers’ specifications & project needs, ensuring the right tools are in place for efficient production.
- Where available, use digital tools to model and simulate manufacturing processes and equipment performance. Make data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvements.
- Apply your knowledge of manufacturing to implement changes in processes, equipment, and applications, contributing to continuous improvement and meeting functional needs.
- Recognize and appreciate the value of different perspectives and cultures, fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Design, specify, and oversee the installation, general maintenance, and operation of plant automation systems.
- Review spare parts requirements and request changes if needed. Research, select or apply sensors, communication technologies, or control devices for motion control, position sensing, pressure sensing, or electronic communication
- Evaluate automation systems and equipment to develop strategies to optimize and ensure quality and stability of the automation systems through future expansions and operational enhancements.
- Excel at working with PLCs and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and Historians (long-term data storage repositories).
- Preferred experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and/or Ignition.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
