What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Leave Specialist position at FTS Inc?
This role will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Employee Resources Team, with a primary focus on leave management. This position involves overseeing leave of absence administration, reconciling billing statements, and assisting with new employee onboarding, all while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and process leave of absence requests and related documentation, including Disability, FMLA, and PFL.
Maintain knowledge and expertise in Workers' Compensation and OSHA compliance requirements.
Assist employees with enrollment in dental, vision, medical, and life insurance plans.
Conduct new hire benefit orientations, providing guidance on available benefits and how to utilize them effectively, as needed.
Support the COBRA process, including handling paperwork, enrollments, and payment processing.
Address employee questions and concerns regarding benefit coverage.
Stay informed about ACA compliance and related processes.
Ensure employee files are up-to-date with all necessary documentation.
Reconcile and verify billing statements for accuracy.
Provide support for the mentor program as required.
Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere during employee interactions.
Actively engage in employee engagement activities and encourage participation to foster a positive work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
