Equipment Technician - Painted Post, NY
Scope/Purpose of Position
This role involves working on the backlog of change management documents for the melting forming equipment group. Responsibilities include determining the document state, identifying areas requiring completion, and collaborating with engineers and technicians to assemble the necessary documents and data for processing.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify which designs are affected by Engineering Change Requests
- Ensure designs are updated with necessary changes
- Understand drawing setups and their relation to documents
- Verify the approval process for implementing new technology
- Collaborate with engineers to determine required updates
- Review Engineering Change Orders and compare them to assigned drawings
Required Skills (2-3 Years of Experience)
- Attend domestic and international meetings with engineers to validate required data
- Knowledge of drawing and equipment configurations
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for data organization
- Ability to understand budget information and financial documents
- Strong communication skills for regular interactions with engineers
- Experience working with teams across local and international sites to gather and collate scope of work documents and related PowerPoint presentations
- Ability to schedule meetings, set up rooms, and gather required presentation materials
- Knowledge of equipment and processes is beneficial but not required
Education
- Associate Degree Required
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.85 - $21.85 per hour
