Job Overview:
A leading partner in Rochester, NY, is looking to expand its team with a Medical Customer Service Representative!
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in both customer service and billing
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute monthly billing statements to residents and their families with accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor resident billing accounts to ensure payment compliance and promptly identify discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve account inquiries efficiently.
- Regularly meet with residents and families to discuss financial responsibilities, provide payment options, and offer support in securing payments.
- Collaborate with departments such as legal counsel, financial case managers, nursing home administrators, and social workers to coordinate collections and resident financial care.
- Handle incoming customer inquiries by managing the phone queue for a significant portion of the day.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Background in billing, insurance, or financial processes required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage sensitive financial information.
- Proven professionalism, accountability, and a customer-focused approach.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $18.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
