Key Responsibilities:
- Aid in the management of the procurement process for construction materials and supplies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to optimize purchasing decisions.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to forecast material needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to prevent shortages.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role in homebuilding or construction.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction materials and industry standards.
- Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
