What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician position at Fuel Safe Systems?
Summary
The Production Technician is responsible for manufacturing and assembling fuel bladders and fuel containment systems using a variety of hand tools and fabrication methods.
Essential Duties and Reponsibilities
- Setup, build, and test molds and bladders to produce a product to meet specifications;
- Read and interpret blueprints/drawings and select the correct shop equipment and tools to complete the job;
- Identify problems during the fabrication process and consult appropriate parties for solutions;
- Work as a collaborative team with other departments to ensure product is completed within specifications and deadlines;
- Operate a variety of hand tools and/or machinery, including but not limited to heat guns, drills, glue gun, heat sealing machine, vacuum forming machine, etc.;
- Assemble fuel cell assemblies, sub-assemblies and/or configurations using work instructions, blueprints and/or parts list(s);
- Appropriately position materials, parts, and assemblies by reading templates and blueprint measurements;
- Fabricate and assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies;
- Verify drawing specifications by measuring components throughout fabrication;
- Maintain a clean work area;
- Other duties as assigned.
