Summary:
Oversee and Lead the maintenance department with Project Planning, Maintaining Equipment and Skilled Labor resources, Developing budget, and Maintaining Spare parts inventory to ensure FTS meets customer QCD requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
· Manage maintenance department to ensure proper staffing level is maintained to adequately support manufacturing processes on all shifts to meet customer requirements (QCD)
· Oversee (assist when needed) machine and facility maintenance tasks including:
o Monthly, quarterly, and annual PM actions
o Installation and testing of new equipment
o Perform root-cause analysis and trouble shoot chronic/re-occurring equipment issues
o Remove barriers to task completion for maintenance team members
· Develop and Maintain work order system to be utilized on all shifts
· Audit and review spare parts/tools quarterly to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained based on usage, lead time, and forecast.
· Participate in Kaizen events and cost reduction implementation
· Develop annual maintenance Hoshin Plan and promote department Hoshin activities through PDCA
· Prepare maintenance annual budget and capital expenditures and monitor to ensure remain within budget
· Ensure processes (equipment and people) are capable to achieve daily QCD expectations
· Take an active leading role in keeping a safe work environment to prevent accidents/injuries - respond urgently to resolve and report safety incidents that may happen
· Manage monthly employee on-going skill development (post schedule and training matrix)
· Promote a positive work environment/good team member morale through proper 5C, training and development, etc.
· Provide regular performance feedback to all maintenance team members
· Prepare maintenance annual budget and capital expenditures and monitor to ensure remain within budget
· Complete required reports (Down Time analysis, BAR, etc)
· Ensure compliance to applicable laws and regulations
· Support ISO activities as required
· Ensure 5S daily activity is maintained on all maintenance shifts
· All other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge / Education:
· Associate’s degree in engineering or equivalent training plus in managerial/supervisory role
· Minimum 8 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, 3 years in managerial/supervisory role
· Proficient working knowledge of PLC, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electronics, basic Fabrication including machining and welding
· Working knowledge of project planning
· Knowledge of work order systems and inventory control processes
· Knowledge of Maintaining a safe workplace and ISO 14001 a plus
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Skills:
· Interview and select maintenance team members
· Lead team of Maintenance technicians in a lean manufacturing automotive environment
· Trouble shoot and repair complex equipment and processes – includes PLC, Robotics, Plastic extrusion process, and assembly lines
· Project planning including coordinating, scheduling and prioritizing projects and monitor to deadlines
· Communicate effectively verbally and written
· Consult, Coach, train and develop maintenance technicians
· Effectively utilize MS products to plan, analyze and report / communicate to team and staff level managers
· Effectively use shop tools and equipment to support equipment uptime
· Can implement modifications and install new equipment

· Flexible and can adjust to multiple requests with changing assignments in a fast pace environment
· Ability to work all shifts including weekends.
Work Conditions:
Climbing, Sitting, Standing, carrying loads up to 50 lbs,, work in heights, works partially in an office environment, Work in a fast pace environment with changing priorities. May be called in to work on all hours.
