Title: Controls Project Engineer – Autonomous Mobile Robotics

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of control systems for autonomous vehicles and automated material handling systems
• Develop and configure PLC and HMI software for AGC systems
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to deliver fully integrated automation solutions
• Interface with industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus) for system communication and coordination
• Integrate sensors, motor controllers, safety systems, and navigation technologies into robotic platforms
• Participate in system commissioning, debugging, and on-site support
• Provide ongoing technical support for AGC deployments in manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and other industrial environments
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and industry regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in automation controls engineering, preferably with mobile robotics or automated guided vehicles (AGVs)
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff) and HMI development
• Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, motion control, and real-time systems
• Experience with robot navigation, path planning, and obstacle avoidance technologies is a plus
• Familiarity with robot safety standards (e.g., ISO 3691, ISO 10218) and functional safety principles
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience integrating ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar robotic frameworks
• Knowledge of Python, C/C , or other programming languages used in robotics
• Background in industrial robotics, automated warehousing, or smart factory technologies
