Litigation/Bankruptcy Paralegal
The Litigation and Bankruptcy Paralegal will assist attorneys and clients in all aspects of litigation and bankruptcy cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Position Details:
• Full time, hourly, non-exempt position
• Flexible, but consistent schedule in a hybrid work environment with remote work available after an initial training period

Position Requirements:
• Drafting general litigation pleadings, including family law, landlord/tenant, criminal law, and collection (debtor/creditor) law
• Drafting bankruptcy pleadings
• Processing court filings and other case-related documents, including calculating, docketing and maintaining calendar entries
• Docketing deadlines and managing attorney calendars
• Preparing correspondence, pleadings, garnishments, settlement demands, discovery demands and responses, and other case-related documents
• Preparing bankruptcy documents, including schedules, chapter 11, 12, and 13 plans, reaffirmation agreements, proof of claims, and income calculations
• Preparing correspondence, real estate documents, estate planning and probate documents, and other transactional matter-related documents
• Proficiency in Federal and State Court e-filing systems, Best Case, PACER, ECF, and MS Office products
• Retrieving and reviewing mortgages, security agreements, and understanding loan documents
• Reviewing and analyzing client income, assets, and debts, and preparing client budgets
• Communicating with clients, including to complete new client intake
• Corresponding with bankruptcy trustees
• Familiarity with Wisconsin Statutes and Bankruptcy Code
• Paralegal degree or certificate (equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
• Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience as a litigation and bankruptcy paralegal
