Fulfillment Plus Inc. is a dynamic and fast-paced fulfillment organization dedicated to delivering exceptional fulfillment solutions and services to our clients. We are looking for an HR Coordinator who will assist with the coordination of all HR functions for the company, working with company Co-Presidents and Controller, while displaying utmost confidentiality. This role includes payroll administration, time and attendance functions, recruitment, hiring and retention, employee handbook updates, employee training, and employee relations. Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary for success.
HR Coordinator Job / Office Supervisor Responsibilities (Not Exhaustive)
· Review daily/weekly employee timesheet punches.
· Review weekly payroll data for salaried and hourly employees and process payroll using Paychex. Identify opportunities for best practices and process improvement.
· Respond timely and accurately to employee requests and/or route requests to the appropriate resources.
· Assist with the process and review of documents relating to human resources activities such as new-hire onboarding, employee verification, change-of-status, termination of employment, etc.
· Coordinate various recruitment efforts: review resumes, conduct initial screenings and interviews, schedule interviews between applicants and team members, send/follow-up with email confirmations, and perform overall duties to ensure a positive and welcoming interview experience.
· Maintain employee records for completeness and accuracy. Input and validate employment and personal data into the HRIS (Paychex), as required.
· Assist employees with verifications of employment, and basic benefit and policy questions.
· Provide support for new hire orientations, new hire paperwork administration, employee surveys, acquisitions, and other HR-related initiatives.
· Provide administrative support to HR employee engagement programs, outreach programs, employee events, and other initiatives.
· Assist with various HR projects, reports, compliance requests, and analytics.
· Maintain understanding and knowledge of general HR compliance landscape relating to HR and Fulfillment Plus’s policies and procedures.
· Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and always demonstrate a strong ethical commitment to the Human Resources profession.
· Promote high levels of professional standards and a positive attitude, follow through on all projects assigned, foster positive interpersonal relations, and adopt a problem-solving approach in all situations.
· Responsible for the smooth running of the office, including general office administration, ordering office supplies, and oversight of office vendors.
· Oversee and manage the daily activities of office staff to ensure efficient operations, service delivery, and expense control.
· As needed, collaborate with the operations team on operations/client service projects.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position. Fulfillment Plus hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 8:30am – 4:45pm. Occasional early/late and/or weekend hours are required during peak shipping season and year end physical inventory.
Reporting Relationship:
This position reports directly to the Co-Presidents for HR and works closely with the Controller. On office and client service projects, the individual will work with the General Manager.
Skills:
· Computer Skills– Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
· Familiarity with Paychex and other HRIS tools is a plus
· Excellent communication skills
· Detailed oriented individual with good multitasking and organization skills
· Flexibility to adapt to a variety of work situations and interruptions, organize work for appropriate and timely completion, and function independently in the absence of direct supervision.
· Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including employees in other departments and customers
· Quick thinking and able to make decisions for immediate corrective action ensuring problems are overcome.
· Self-starter who works well under limited direction. Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and drive.
· Does not get flustered under pressure, can juggle many tasks at once
· Does not mind chipping in to get the job done, will always do whatever it takes to exceed expectations.
Compensation: This position starts at $23.00 per hour and earns up to 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 week sick/personal, 6 paid holidays.
