What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Clerk / Shipping and Receiving Clerk position at Fulford Manufacturing?
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of products and materials in and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying orders, preparing outgoing shipments, submit shipping documents and maintaining accurate inventory records. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
- Record and process inventory movements using the company’s system
- Pack and label outgoing shipments according to customer specifications
- Coordinate and schedule shipping with carriers and ensure timely delivery
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse area
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with stock rotation
- Handle any discrepancies or issues related to shipments and deliveries
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Computer skills and experience with inventory management systems
- Formality with online portals, EDI, ASN's and coordination with outside vendors
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Compensation
