Position Overview
Are you a skilled IT professional with a passion for hybrid infrastructure management and team leadership? Join our dynamic team as the Infrastructure and Help Desk Lead and take charge of our company's hybrid on-premises and cloud IT environment. Reporting directly to the CIO, you’ll oversee a mix of on-premises and cloud systems, lead help desk operations across 11 locations, and drive vendor relationships. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our IT systems' performance, security, and scalability.
What You’ll Do
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Lead the design, optimization, and maintenance of our Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
- Manage email systems, data storage, and collaboration tools.
- Partner with managed service providers (MSPs) to ensure top-notch performance and security.
2. On-Premises Infrastructure Management
- Oversee and maintain HP enterprise servers, storage systems, Check Point firewalls, and Citrix servers.
- Ensure seamless operations, applying updates and upgrades as needed.
3. Help Desk Oversight
- Develop and enforce workstation setup guidelines for help desk teams.
- Serve as the escalation point for help desk teams across 11 locations.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to enhance help desk efficiency.
4. License and Vendor Management
- Manage all software and infrastructure-related licenses.
- Act as the primary liaison for vendors and MSPs, ensuring service quality and compliance.
5. Backup and Recovery
- Oversee MSP-managed backup and recovery processes, ensuring robust disaster recovery protocols.
6. Security and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company security policies and best practices.
- Collaborate with the MSP to continually enhance our security posture.
7. Infrastructure Optimization
- Identify opportunities to enhance IT systems and processes proactively.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our infrastructure to support business growth.
What You Bring
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience managing hybrid on-premises and cloud environments (Azure expertise required).
- Proficiency with HP enterprise servers, Check Point firewalls, Citrix servers, VMware solutions and Microsoft Active Directory/Entra ID
- Experience leading help desk operations across multiple locations.
- Strong understanding of IT security practices, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Demonstrated success in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent
- Familiarity with enterprise-grade monitoring and performance tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.
