We are seeking a Lead Caregiver for the Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County. Must be teachable and have a mindset of serving the community with health care solutions. You will work in the office and in the field as a caregiver. Must be willing to travel throughout Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County.
Job Summary:
- Engage with local businesses to drive referrals.
- Attend community events as a Full Circle Home Care representative.
- Visit clients and caregiver in the community
- Lead Caregiver, Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Caregiver fill-in if necessary
Job Qualifications:
Education: Health care expert for 2 plus years.
License: Must have current driver’s license or reliable transportation to travel to assignments.
Experience: Preferred experience in home care as a caregiver, marketing or community relations.
Skills: Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and be competent to perform tasks assigned by supervisor; Demonstrates interest in the welfare of those who are elderly and/or disabled; Must successfully complete a competency evaluation skills checklist. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Must be a great communicator.
Background Checks: Must agree to and pass a criminal history check.
Environmental and Working Conditions:
- Works in patient’s/client’s residence in various conditions
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
- Some exposure to unpleasant weather.
Physical and Mental Effort:
- Prolonged standing and walking required.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move patients/clients.
- Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines, to identify patient/client needs, to make quick decisions and to meet patient/client and family psychosocial needs.
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Essential Functions:
- Promote positive, supportive, and respectful communication to the patient/client and family and Agency personnel
- Provide an environment that promotes respect for the patient’s/client’s privacy and property
- Provide personal assistance or health-related tasks to patient/client according to the Individualized Service Plan
- Appropriately report changes to ensure continuity of care Practice accepted infection control principles
- Provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment
- Utilize skills necessary to perform services according to the Agency’s policy
- Contribute to the management and efficient operation of the Agency and demonstrate effective time management skills
- Demonstrate commitment, professional growth and competency by attending required in-services
- Promote the Agency’s philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
- Assist with prescribed exercises when the client and the aide have been instructed by the appropriate health professional.
- Record and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior or appearance to the supervisor or Case Coordinator.
- Documenting services delivered in accordance with Full Circle Home Care policies and procedures.
