Position Overview: We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Interior Designer to join our team. As a Interior Designer, you will be responsible for translating clients' visions into functional and aesthetically pleasing residential spaces. Your expertise in drafting design plans will contribute to designing innovative, sustainable, and practical living environments that exceed our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle, translating these into comprehensive design concepts for residential projects, including single-family homes, townhouses, and apartment complexes.
Conceptualization: Generate innovative and creative design ideas that align with clients' requirements and industry trends, balancing aesthetic appeal with functionality and space optimization.
Space Planning: Develop efficient floor plans and layouts that maximize usable space, taking into consideration traffic flow, spatial relationships, and zoning regulations.
Material and Finish Selection: Curate a selection of appropriate materials, finishes, colors, and textures to create harmonious and visually appealing interiors and exteriors that match the overall design concept.
3D Modeling and Visualization: Utilize advanced architectural software to create accurate 3D models and renderings that provide clients with realistic visualizations of the proposed designs.
Code Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant legal requirements to guarantee the safety and legality of the projects.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution from design to completion.
Client Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients throughout the design process, incorporating their feedback and keeping them informed about project progress.
Sustainability Integration: Incorporate sustainable design principles and practices into projects, including energy-efficient systems, environmentally friendly materials, and passive design strategies.
Construction Documentation: Prepare detailed construction drawings, plans, and specifications that provide clear instructions for contractors during the construction phase.
Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor the progress of ongoing projects, address any design-related issues, and ensure that the construction aligns with the intended design.
Materials Ordering and Tracking: Overseeing the ordering, tracking and organization of project materials.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's in Architecture or a related field.
- Proven experience in residential architectural design, preferably with a portfolio showcasing a range of completed projects.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and other rendering tools. CA is preferred.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices.
- Excellent spatial awareness, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and visual, to convey design concepts to clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Awareness of current design trends, sustainability practices, and technological advancements in the field.
- Ability to manage Budgeting, time management and other project management skills
- MS office skills.
