Under the supervision of theFacilities Director, the Facilities Manager will oversee the maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of the facilities. This is a working supervisor position. The successful candidate will not only supervise the maintenance team but also actively participate in hands-on tasks. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling work assignments and evaluating and prioritizing the workload to meet the needs of the organization. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a willingness to engage in practical maintenance tasks. This position will require travel to various sites.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Supervise and lead the maintenance team while actively participating in maintenance activities.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system checks.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.
- Assist in the set-up and breakdown of events or meetings within the facilities.
- Manage minor repairs to equipment and furniture as necessary.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team on larger projects and provide technical guidance.
- Train team members on safety protocols and best practices in maintenance work.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues on-site.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for routine maintenance and repairs.
- Evaluate incoming maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their facility needs and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on performance metrics.
- Discuss areas of improvement for the company’s maintenance processes and provide feedback to the Facilities Director.
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record preferred.
- EPA Certification preferred.
- Previous experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a team of employees and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Proficient in scheduling software and maintenance management systems.
- Maintain confidentiality of client’s pertinent health information in accordance with HIPPA guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of the company’s proprietary information, which includes the clients, business procedures, and business plans.
- Display professionalism and protect the company’s reputation.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to 100lbs.
