What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Nurse Practitioner position at Full Circle Recovery Services?
THE POSITION OF CERTIFIED NURSE PRACTITIONER IN SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH SETTING CONSISTS OF ASSESSING AND TREATING THE HEALTH CONCERNS OF PATIENTS BEING TREATED FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE. INCLUDING ABUSE OF ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS.
POSITION PURPOSE: The Certified Nurse Practitioner provides direct patient care services within the scope of their A.P.R.N. license in collaboration with other members of the facility’s treatment staff, under the direction and supervision of the Medical Director. Supports the policies, rules, and regulations of the facility; and acts in compliance with federal, state and other regulatory bodies and agencies. Assists with the overall medical quality management of the facility, providing guidance for treatment staff members as assigned by the Assistant Medical Director.

INTERRELATIONSHIPS:
Maintains open communication lines with the Clinical Director, Assistant Medical Director, program, and facility staff, attending clinicians and physicians, patients, and families. Liaison with community agencies, vendors, and payors of health services as assigned by Director
1.EDUCATION:
Graduated from an accredited college or university, recognized by the State of Ohio; and maintains compliance to State of Ohio issued continuing education requirements.
2. EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years' experience in hospital-based or outpatient medical practice setting, serving in an Nurse Practitioner role.

1) Must have active and valid Nurse Practitioner License
