What are the responsibilities and job description for the Re-Entry Counselor (LCDC, LICDC, LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC) position at Full Circle Recovery Services?
Under the supervision of the Re-entry Program Manager the Clinical Therapist is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Re-Entry Program Manager. He/she will be responsible for patient caseload and will provide group, individual, and case management. Collaborates with the Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and assists in coordinating discharge planning.
Primary Duties
Perform other duties and/or assignments as required by the agency. The Clinician level 1 must actively participate in weekly supervision, ensure that all materials used for presentations in Individual or Group Sessions are appropriate and effective, communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors, address problem behaviors with patients and set treatment goals, maintain professional boundaries, document all notes accurately and within 24 hours of sessions, adhere to assigned schedule, arrive on time and prepared daily for work, work collaboratively with the entire treatment team to treat patients with a holistic approach, and other duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be added at any time with or without notice.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum Degree: Associates Degree
- License Requirements: LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC (Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor), LSW (Licensed Social Worker) or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
- Experience working with substance abuse population
- Previous clinical experience preferred
- Previous experience with/understanding of the criminal justice system preferred
- Ability to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions, along with the ability to understand human behavior
- Must maintain a professional demeanor while dealing with emotionally charged issues and individuals
- Must be able to make decisions at times with imperfect information
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from a diverse demographic group
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Effective Communication

- Demonstrate clinical organization, leadership, and team-building qualities
