What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Manager position at Full House Resorts?
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish hotel pricing levels in all segments including gaming and non-gaming.
- Responsible for the daily room inventory management process and daily pricing process.
- Monitor competitor rates, positioning, strategies and data. Maintain an understanding of the local market dynamics, and demand generators in order to present action plans to management.
- Monitor and communicate fluctuations in occupancy to operational departments so that they can effectively manage staffing requirements and increase efficiency.
- Analyze local events and activities to project the effect of opportunities that they create.
- Understand the macro and micro-economic variables affecting supply and demand in the local marketplace, and use this knowledge to create accurate operational and financial room revenue forecasts.
- Perform unconstrained demand analysis to determine optimal business mix.
- Responsible for all short and long term forecasts including Weekly Forecasts, 30/60/90 day forecasts, month forecasts, and full year.
- Oversee process for evaluating all opportunities for contracted business (group, wholesale, corporate negotiated, etc.) presented through the Sales Department. Ensure effective communication while maximizing profits.
- Responsible for the maintenance of any software programs which contribute to the management of rooms revenue including PMS and Agilysys.
- Monitor RevPAR index on reports such as STR or other market indicators to provide critical analysis of performance weekly and monthly.
- Prepare annual Rooms Revenue Budget with the Director of Hotel Operations, General Manager / Asst. General Manager, and Finance Department.
- Lead weekly Revenue Strategy meetings to formulate strategies and tactics with partners including the Director of Casino Marketing team and Director of Hotel Operations. Analyze previous decisions from strategy meetings to critique effectiveness and if/how to pivot dynamically.
- Ensure all distribution channels have correct content and pricing including all 3rd party sites such as Booking.com, Hotels.com, etc. Develop and maintain a close relationship with the market manager of these 3rd party sites to maximize opportunities on these channels.
- Develop and maintain fun and positive working relationships with other market revenue managers to create a network of peers within the Colorado community.
- Coordinate survey activities involving marketing and service opportunities to further enhance revenue.
- Actively develop all team members within the department including Reservations so that they have the opportunity to grow their Revenue Management and leadership skills.
- Participate in any industry events that help to showcase our brand.
- Responsible for internet marketing such as pay per click campaigns, non-gaming email blasts, all in conjunction and coordination with the Casino Marketing team.
- Communicate any strategy changes on the calendar for the sales team and hotel ops team to use. Plan and coordinate around holiday schedules to maximize impact and fill in off peak periods. Utilize yielding strategies during peak periods.
- Analyze prior night successes and opportunities for revenue.
- Mystery shop Reservations team and develop their sales strategies as well as accuracy of room knowledge.
- Complete all required month end reports and action plans to drive revenue.
- Collaborates with Finance to handle chargebacks, including accessing websites, sending out emails, and updating tracking sheets. Follow the process until the end.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Assist with other projects as needed or requested.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Experience in a casino resort within the revenue management department. In depth knowledge of all industry reports. Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point. Ability to work quickly in a high pressure environment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 2 or more years of experience in Revenue Management as a manager or senior analyst. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields, or equivalent in experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing. Excellent time management skills and a willingness to work flexible hours. Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming as a representative and ambassador of the resort. Highly analytical, organized, and passionate about revenue optimization.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties primarily involve standing while completing paperwork or using a computer, and routine kneeling, squatting, bending, and crouching with standard breaks. Essential duties involve frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stretching, reaching, lifting, and pushing materials, supplies, and equipment. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds, and working a flexible workweek, including weekends and holidays, with overtime hours occasionally required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$56,485 based on experience
