Duties & Responsibilities
A Revenue Cycle Manger at RFS is responsible for managing and overseeing all operational activities, including leading and mentoring the team, monitoring team performance, and completing monthly audits and feedback sessions to foster a positive work environment aligned with company values. Additionally, this role involves analyzing performance metrics and leading initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity based on data-driven insights. The position also entails developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, taking disciplinary action when necessary, and managing workflows and strategies to increase recoveries and maximize company revenue.
- Oversee the daily operations of a 7-10 person team of self-pay and revenue cycle representatives.
- Responsible for daily workflow and prioritizing the work of team members to benefit the client and company.
- Monitors team performance by conducting monthly account monitors and audits to identify training needs, opportunities for growth, promote accountability, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and strive for increased recoveries.
- Implements and maintains an effective team member atmosphere while supporting, encouraging, and motivating staff.
- Prepares and provides reports on team performance, trends, and determines operational deficiencies and implements corrective action plans as necessary.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of new business files, payments, reconciliations, reporting, end-of-month payment processes, and end-of-month emails to clients.
- Follows up on client requests and delivers client questions weekly, to ensure a timely and satisfactory resolution, maintaining open communication and providing updates as needed.
- Handles incoming client calls, providing exceptional service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering solutions in a professional and timely manner.
- When necessary, answer incoming calls from patients, providing a high level of customer service to respond to questions and concerns regarding services, charges, insurance coverage, and other adjustments in a compassionate and professional manner.
The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of the healthcare industry, previous experience with medical terminology, and strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to effectively interact with clients and staff. A strong work ethic is essential, encompassing punctuality, honesty, integrity, organization, patience, and a proactive approach. Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2 - 4 years of experience in revenue cycle management, patient billing, or healthcare collections.
- Knowledge of insurance denial processes, self-pay collections, and healthcare billing regulations.
- Proficiency in revenue cycle software and reporting tools.
- Prior experience in a leadership role, preferably in a similar environment.

- Proficient computer skills in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), web browsing, and file management.
- Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $50,000-$65,000 Annually DOE

Pay Range Disclosure
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Rate of pay in this position is contingent on experience. If offered the position at an annual rate below the Colorado exempt salary threshold of $56,485 for 2025, the position will be a non-exempt hourly offer. If the offer rate is greater than or equal to the Colorado salary threshold of $56,485, the position will be offered as an exempt salary position.
