We've built a dedicated team across our Hilo and Kona offices, working together to create a community of support and belonging.
Position: Youth Support Specialist
As a Youth Support Specialist, you'll work with students (ages 5-21) to support their daily activities and growth, promoting independence and community involvement.
- Assist with Daily Living: Help with personal hygiene, eating, mobility, and more.
- Community Engagement: Take participants to appointments, social activities, and outings.
- Record Keeping: Document progress and maintain detailed notes on participant goals.
- Collaborate with Families: Keep open communication with families to ensure the best care.
- Create Safe Spaces: Ensure a safe and supportive environment for emotional and physical growth.
Who We're Looking For:
- No Experience Needed: Training provided for the right candidate
- High School Diploma (Related field degree is a plus)
- Compassion & Patience: Empathetic and understanding of student needs
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to connect with students, families, and the team
- Flexible Hours: Available to work afternoons (1-6 p.m.) and occasional weekends
- Driver's License & Transportation: Required for participant transportation
