Job Summary :
- We are hiring for a fast growing commercial GC.
- The Construction Project Engineer supports the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects by providing technical expertise, managing project documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Project Coordination and Planning :
Assist in the development and review of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure
project alignment.
Coordinate construction activities to meet milestones and deadlines.
2. Technical Support and Problem Solving :
Provide technical input during project execution to resolve design and
construction issues.
Assist in troubleshooting on-site challenges and propose effective solutions.
3. Documentation and Reporting :
Manage and maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs
Requests for Information), and change orders.
Prepare progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting milestones, risks, and
delays.
Track and record project data, including labor, materials, and equipment usage.
4. Quality and Safety Assurance :
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor contractor performance and address deficiencies promptly.
5. Cost and Resource Management :
Assist in tracking project costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
Oversee procurement and delivery of construction materials and equipment.
Support resource allocation to optimize project efficiency.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a
related field.
Experience : 1-5 years in construction management. Must have experience working on commercial construction projects as a project engineer. We will consider candidates who have interned.
Key Skills :
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficiency in construction management software is preferred (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD,
Bluebeam, Primavera P6).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration and stakeholder
engagement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Analytical and problem-solving skills for technical and logistical challenges.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and practices.
Pay : 70-$85k
