Now hiring DSP’s in Salem and surrounding areas including: Keizer, Monmouth, Albany, and Dallas.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household chores.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and personal growth.
- Assist individuals in participating in community outings, recreational activities, and social events.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and daily activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or experience of 6 months or more in a group home or similar setting preferred.
- Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism.
- Valid CPR & First Aid certification or the willingness to obtain these certifications prior to placement.
- Current OIS (Oregon Intervention System) training or the willingness to obtain this certification prior to placement.
- Workday DSP tier 1 & tier 2 Core Competencies or the willingness to obtain this certification prior to placement.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license of at least 6 months with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
