Job Title: Human Resources Assistant
Reports To: Human Resources Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 10 AM - 6:30 PM
Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D
Job Purpose:
The Human Resources Assistant provides primary support to the Human Resources Supervisor and plays a key role in administrative and staffing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical, technical, administrative, and office support to the HR Supervisor.
- Collaborate with the HR Supervisor on employee and temporary staffing needs.
- Maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor in all areas.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records.
- Facilitate timely and effective communication across all levels of staff.
- Coordinate with on-site temporary staffing agencies to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Serve as a backup for payroll and employee benefits processing.
- Research, compile, and analyze data for special HR projects and reports.
- Track compliance for new hires and pay ranges.
- Ensure completion and accuracy of all I-9 forms.
- Maintain current Distribution Center organizational charts.
- Recommend and maintain procedures for personnel transactions and reporting data changes.
- Assist the Operations Manager with various duties as needed.
- Support the administrative team with special projects, as assigned.
- Set up conference calls and maintain contact lists.
- Track and maintain daily and monthly HR reports.
- Must be flexible and willing to work any shift as needed to support business operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources preferred.
- Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Computer Skills:
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
