Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Schedule: 8 AM - 4 PM
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Weigh and measure packages accurately.
- Ensure proper packing slip/shipping documents accompany each shipment.
- Utilize Starship software for shipping operations.
- Enter shipping data into SAGE software system.
- Prepare items for shipping by sorting, palletizing, and shrink-wrapping.
- Generate end-of-day reports.
- Monitor packaging supplies and submit orders as needed.
- Assist packaging clerk with boxing and packing items.
- Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers (Wave).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Preferably 1 years of shipping experience, but not required.
- Minimum 1 years of warehouse experience.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Familiarity with Starship shipping software is a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Detail-oriented with a positive attitude.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods (8 hours).
