Job Title: Machinist/Tool Grinder
Salary: $20-$26 per hour
Location: Carol Stream, IL
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
The Grinder/Machinist brings the following responsibilities:
- Reads and understands Product Drawings.
- Understands and Prioritizes production orders to meet daily requirements.
- Sets-up and operates the machines and equipment required to run production.
- Understands customer requirements and adjusts daily production to meet them.
- Obtains acceptable First Pieces by setting up machines and submitting them for proper approval.
- Reviews and verifies First Pieces from other machines to ensure conformance quality.
- Ensures requirements are understood and followed in daily operations.
- Assists Production Manager in meeting Customer Requirements daily
- Supports continuous availability of components for assembly operation.
- Supports Equipment Maintenance as planned
- Must be able to lift or push up to 50 pounds.

- Grinding: ID Grinding/OD Grinding/Surface Grinding
- Tool & Die Shop – Rotates through Shop
- Crossed Trained to cover stations that get overloaded.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High School/Equivalent OR good reading, writing, & speaking skills in English with ability to read and interpret product drawings, BOMs.
- Experience in production operations including CNC machining, general machining, understanding of metric system a plus, polishing, & assembly; Machining certification a plus.
- Experience running a Studer a plus.
- Obvious foundation of our values.
