Department: Laboratory
Status: Full-time (80 hours bi-weekly)
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Job Summary:
Fulton County Health Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Histology Technician to join our Laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various histology procedures, including receiving, processing, and preparing patient pathology specimens for examination and analysis by the Pathologist. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process patient pathology specimens for histological examination.
- Prepare specimens for microscopic analysis by the Pathologist.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of laboratory records.
- Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and quality control procedures.
- Maintain proper inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and physicians.

Requirements
- Associate's degree (A.A.) in Medical Laboratory Technician, Histology Technician, or an equivalent science field; or completion of a Histology Certificate program from a two-year college or technical school, with at least three (3) months of clinical laboratory training.
- One (1) year of experience as a Histology Technician is preferred.
- Certification from a nationally recognized accrediting authority is preferred.
- Must be registry eligible for certification.
