Inpatient Behavioral Health - Health Care Tech

Job Summary:
The Health Care Tech provides essential clerical support to the nursing units and, under the direction of a registered nurse, assists in the delivery of patient care. This role involves engaging in various patient care activities to support individual and group health, ensuring that the care provided meets the needs of patients of all age groups. Responsibilities include data collection, assisting patients with activities of daily living, and supporting clinical staff with procedures as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform clerical services to support nursing units.
- Collect patient data through observation and use of equipment, and report findings to the RN.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Support clinical staff with medical procedures when appropriate.
- Ensure all patient interactions are conducted with compassion and respect.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with at least one semester of clinical rotation completed.
- Medical Assistant certification.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) licensure.
- Previous work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the required job functions.
