Part Time Director - Government Affairs

Overview

Responsible for Legislative and Government Relations. Incumbent will serve as Chair of Fulton Financial Corporation Political Action Committee.

This position is a part-time 20 hour a week role based out of our downtown Lebanon office.

Responsibilities

• Monitors pending legislation and works with business lines to determine the impact to the bank should legislation be enacted. Provides management with updates on relevant legislation.
• Maintains strong relationships with office staff of key legislators for updates on key banking industry legislation, timing of vote and forecasted outcomes.
• Meets with politicians to discuss their vote on legislation that impacts the banking industry. Advocates positions and interests to legislative and executive branch policymakers, trade associations and other outside organizations.
• Manages and executes outreach plans for elected officials for major announcements.
• Chairs the Fulton Financial Corporation Political Action Committee and directs committee activity, including submitting contribution requests for committee vote and overseeing annual campaign.
• Organizes and administers events designed to support legislators favorable to banking and business.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty : Relevant degree pertaining to the essential duties of this role. (Required)

Experience

8 or more years Banking, Sales, Community and / or Government Relations. Representing organizations to external constituents under various conditions. (Required)

This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses / credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

The salary range for this position is $105,500.00 - $175,900.00 annually.

This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
