Requirements
- Emptying garbage and cardboard containers regularly according to procedures.
- Occasional shoveling and salting of sidewalks.
- Responsible for regular checks and timely responses within the Facilities ticket system, responding with estimated timelines, follow-up questions.
- Basic building maintenance. Including, but not limited to, bulb changes, painting, and basic repairs.
- Light janitorial duties within the warehouse facility and the office space as needed and as requested.
- Monitor supply levels for all operations departments and submit requisitions for timely replenishment.
- Assist with equipment training for the operations staff
- Able to maintain a safe workspace, paying attention to best practices and OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist with workstation upgrades, moves and seasonal setup/teardowns
- Assist with completing safety audits of the facility and taking appropriate action for safety items reported via near miss, close call or accident forms with direction from the safety manager.
- Assist with troubleshooting, maintaining and servicing basic conveyor systems and automatic bagger equipment
- Lock Out/Tag Out trained.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Ability to pass equipment training successfully and maintain certification.
- Maintain a valid drivers license and be insurable on company insurance.
- Pass a DOT physical.
Minimum Required Education and Experience
- Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
- Previous material handling equipment experience
- Mechanical knowledge, dexterity, computer skills, and mathematical skills. Able to learn and use computer systems proficiently.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees of the organization.
- Ability and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to operate a personal computer or laptop and word processing, spreadsheet, and other software.
- Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of standard office equipment.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
