Qualifications:
- Experience in Early Childhood Education: At least one year of experience in childcare, specifically working with infants and toddlers (ages 3 months to 3 years).
- Play-Based and Inclusive Learning: Skilled in creating a safe and inclusive environment that uses play-based learning to foster developmental growth in infants and toddlers.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members, respecting cultural diversity.
- Social-Emotional Development: Knowledge of how to teach and promote social-emotional skills like empathy, self-regulation, and conflict resolution.
- Planning & Creativity: Able to design and implement engaging and age-appropriate learning activities tailored to infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities:
- Early Childhood Education: Demonstrate a passion for early childhood education by fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and safe learning environment for infants and toddlers.
- Developmentally Appropriate Activities: Plan and implement engaging activities that support the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 3 months to 1 year using play-based methods.
- Safe & Inclusive Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom and play areas, creating a space that respects each child's learning pace and developmental needs.
- Observation & Assessment: Regularly observe and assess each child's growth, adjusting activities to better suit their individual progress.
- Family Collaboration: Maintain strong communication with parents about their child’s development, concerns, and milestones. Conduct family conferences and ensure confidentiality.
- Classroom & Health Compliance: Ensure the classroom and playground meet all safety, licensing, and health regulations.
- Manage Daily Routines: Balance play, meals, rest, and learning activities in the classroom, maintaining a positive atmosphere for children.

- Diaper Changing & Care: Take responsibility for diaper changing, ensuring comfort and hygiene as part of the child’s daily care routine.

Fun Nest Child Care is a licensed home-based childcare facility serving up to 12 children, with separate classrooms for different age groups. Our Infant and Toddler Classroom is completely separated from the house, ensuring a professional, nurturing environment for early childhood development.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Infant and Toddler Teacher to join our team. This position involves caring for children ages 3 months to 3 years, focusing on their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Our small class sizes (6-7 children) allow for individualized attention and a smooth daily routine.
Our school operates Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and we follow the Boulder County School District Calendar for holidays and days off.
