Duties
- Oversee daily cash register operations, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and transactions.
- Supervise and train cashier staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure that the checkout area is organized and well-stocked.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage cash flow and reconcile registers at the end of shifts.
- Implement upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities during customer interactions.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures related to cash handling.
Experience
- Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong proficiency in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and register operations.
- Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the shopping experience.
- Ability to effectively supervise staff and foster teamwork among cashiers.
- Experience with stock management and inventory control is a plus.
- Knowledge of sales techniques, including upselling and product promotions.
