Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Director, the National Account Manager will be a key driver of FDCO’s growth along the east coast and beyond, focused primarily on securing and expanding chain retail and on-premise accounts. This role requires a skilled strategist with proven success in building distributor partnerships, coaching sales teams, and landing meaningful chain placements across various formats, including liquor stores, small format, large format, and on-premise outlets.


You’ll collaborate closely with our internal trade marketing and sales teams to execute compelling programming that differentiates our brands at shelf and on menus. You’ll also support the Sales Director with regional execution of large chain retailers.


Key Responsibilities:


Chain Account Solicitation & Development - 65%

  • Penetrate and develop new relationships with liquor store chains, small format, large format, and on-premise chain groups within your assigned market.
  • Collaborate with distributor partners to identify and engage key decision-makers.
  • Secure meetings with chain buyers and successfully pitch FDCO’s brand portfolio.
  • Capture and grow chain placements of FDCO products across all relevant retail and on-premise platforms.
  • Support the Sales Director with execution and relationship management for pre-existing large chain retailers at the regional level.
  • Coach and collaborate with distributor sales teams to drive key account development and execution.


Chain Account Programming Execution- 35%

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Marketing, Trade, Operations) to build and execute localized, data-driven trade marketing programs.
  • Develop retailer-specific programming that achieves measurable ROI and builds long-term brand value.
  • Ensure flawless execution of programming in-market through clear communication, regular follow-ups, and performance tracking.
  • Adapt and evolve strategies based on competitive trends and market feedback to ensure FDCO brands stay ahead of the curve.



Qualifications & Experience:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.


Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in beverage sales, ideally in a distributor or supplier capacity.
  • Proven success managing chain accounts and distributor relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of the retail and on-premise landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with high accountability and a team-first mindset.
  • Ability to travel as needed for chain meetings and market execution.


Soft Skills:

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time to meet customers and team members.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
