About this position
We’re seeking an educator to work under the supervision of our physician. Our educator consults with our patients in person and virtually, mentors and supports their progress, and answers patient Q&A. They also assist in developing educational materials and community outreach.
We work to educate and empower our patients to reach their maximum potential by utilizing Integrative and functional Medicine approaches, including advanced diagnostics, immunology, nutrition, exercise, and nutraceuticals. As such, our Clinical educator is a key player on our team.
This is not an externship or observership opportunity.
Responsibilities include assisting physicians in coordinating any aspect of clinical operations to improve patient care including
- Communicate in a friendly and effective manner with all walks of life
- Have a mature attitude and professional appearance
- Stay organized even in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Stay focused and on task with minimal oversight
- Think critically and proactively solve problems
- Hard working and self-motivated
- Proficiency in IM injections and Phlebotomy
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Take patient calls, schedule appointments and email appointment reminders.
- Check out patients; create encounters and superbills
- Scan and enter patient information into EMR; fax orders, prescriptions & referrals
- Write letters; Medical transcription; Reception; Scheduling; Triage; Communicate with office personnel
- Medical writing; Developing educational material; Literature searches
- Ability to: multi-task in a busy environment; handle a vast variety of responsibilities; improvise and adapt; team player; follow directions and implement feedback to improve job performance
- Inventory management
- Good interpersonal skills
- Experience with EMR
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
