Join Functional Pathways as a Full-time Onboarding Specialist!
Location: Corporate Headquarters, Knoxville, TN
On-site | Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm
Functional Pathways is looking for an outgoing and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to join our Human Resources team at our Knoxville headquarters. In this role, you will be the face of our onboarding process, helping new team members transition smoothly into their roles. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that every new hire experiences a seamless journey from offer acceptance to their first day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, guiding them through each step of the onboarding process.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted promptly to the HRIS System or facility as needed.
- Communicate frequently with new hires, answering questions and addressing concerns to foster a positive onboarding experience.
- Maintain and organize onboarding records with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure a smooth handoff from recruiting to onboarding to operations.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all information contained in or pertaining to personnel files and any other departmental and/or company information.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required (bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is a plus).
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on onboarding, recruitment, or employee relations preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with new hires and internal teams.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple onboarding tasks simultaneously.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR software systems (experience with onboarding platforms preferred).
- Customer Service: A positive, welcoming attitude and experience providing a high level of customer service.
- Problem-solving: Ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently during the onboarding process.
- Confidentiality: Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee information.
- Adaptability: Flexibility in a fast-paced environment, managing shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy.
