Job Summary:
The Senior Designer will also work closely with the sales team and clients on commercial interior design, space planning, and programming, selecting commercial office products, and curating world-class spaces for our clients.
This position reports to the Vice President of the Division.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Design Development
· Work with salesperson and/or client to determine purpose and function of environment, budget, scope of project, time schedules, types of furniture and equipment to be installed, and other factors which affect planning interior environments.
· Advise salesperson and/or client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, color schemes, color coordination, and codes according to local governing jurisdictions.
· Provide schematic design and design development drawings.
· Coordinate design intent with architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans.
· Procurement
· Build final validation packets for sign-off from client.
· Create installation drawings and core plans for installation and project management.
· On-going
· Maintain project files and time sheets on all work performed according to departmental guidelines.
· Attend all design/sales meetings and educational seminars as requested.
· Attend client meetings, both on-site and off-site as requested.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on interior design
· Required skills
• High level of product knowledge regarding commercial office furniture
• High level of independence – able to work with minimal supervision
• Thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and be self-motivated
• Working knowledge of accessibility codes
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Detail-oriented
• Exceptional customer service skills

• NCIDQ certification or similar certification (WELL, LEED)
• Working knowledge of AUTOCAD, CET, Project Matrix
• Strong acumen with Microsoft office products
