We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Title Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have prior automotive experience, be certified through the MADA Title & Registration program, and bring a strong commitment to accuracy and customer service. In this role, you'll handle vehicle title processing and ensure all tax and title documents are completed correctly and in a timely manner—supporting the smooth operation of our dealership.

Responsibilities:

Process all new and used vehicles for registration in the appropriate state

Prepare and submit tax and title documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles

Verify collection of funds and confirm correct lienholder payoff prior to title processing

Review applications for accuracy and completeness

Maintain tracking systems for out-of-state titles and outstanding title work

Provide management with updates on missing/problematic titles and generate monthly reports for the controller

Sign over titles to wholesalers who have paid in full and report on any uncollected funds due to title issues

Assist with yearly renewal of dealer license plates in conjunction with the controller

Stay informed about changing title regulations; attend industry seminars and training

Cross-train others in title clerk responsibilities and provide periodic training to F&I and sales teams

Issue memos and updates to managers when title regulations or procedures change
Qualifications:

Prior automotive dealership experience required

Completion of the MADA Title & Registration Certification required

Experience with VITU and Dealertrack is strongly preferred

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and timeliness

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
