Responsibilities:
- Assist with the transition of network infrastructure to FortiGate from SonicWall and Dell solutions.
- Provide day-to-day support for network and systems operations, ensuring reliability and uptime.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of best practices for network engineering, including scalability and security.
- Monitor and manage LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless networking, firewalls, and Layer 2/3 switches.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving network and systems issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate with team members to align network and systems infrastructure with business goals.
- Document network configurations, changes, and processes to maintain operational standards.
- Provide after-hours support as needed for the 24/7 retail operation.
- Foundational experience with FortiGate implementation, configuration, or management (preferred, but training can be provided).
- Basic understanding of SonicWall and Dell technologies (a plus).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless technologies.
- Familiarity with firewalls, switches, and basic security practices (e.g., MFA, anti-virus, and data backup systems).
- Exposure to 24/7 operational environments is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn and grow in network and systems administration.
- Certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Cisco, or equivalent) and a degree in Computer Science or related field are a plus but not required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
