Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering medically prescribed speech language pathology, maintaining accurate records, educating patients and families, and observing and evaluating patient responses. Additional responsibilities may include participating in interdisciplinary meetings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
- Administers medically prescribed speech language pathology to restore function and prevent disability following injury or loss of a body part.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records pertinent to patient treatment.
- Educates patients, other health professionals, and family regarding speech therapy on an on-going basis.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you'll need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also have experience in speech language pathology and be certified or licensed to practice in the state where the job is located.
- One to three years' experience as an SLP preferred.
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
