Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing procedures as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other stakeholders to promote understanding and cooperation
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs, and develop appropriate interventions to address these needs
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advances in the field
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state where they will be practicing
- 1-3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a Progressive Care Unit setting
- Step-down and intermediate care nursing experience required
- BLS certification
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred
