As a Rehabilitation Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. Your duties may include developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and communicating effectively with patients and families. You will also be required to maintain accurate records, adhere to clinical guidelines, and participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong commitment to patient-centered care, a flexible approach to work assignments, and a willingness to adapt to changing situations are essential. Additionally, you should have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), a valid SLP license in the state where you will be practicing, and at least one year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
