Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:
- Communicating with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Providing and coordinating patient care with other health team members.
- Monitoring patients' responses to interventions and reporting outcomes.
- Administering medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
- Maintaining cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
- Transporting patients as needed.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A degree in a related field (e.g. Medical Technology, Laboratory Science).
- One to three years of experience as a Laboratory Scientist preferred.
- ASCP Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification or equivalent.
- A valid medical technologist license in the state where they will be practicing.
- BLS certification.
