As an integral part of our office operations, you will play a crucial role in patient collections and claims management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to completing billing-related activities accurately, on time, and with exceptional customer service.
What you'll do:
- Contact patients to collect outstanding balances, explain payment options, and answer any billing-related questions.
- Prepare statements for billing purposes.
- Process and complete patients' postings.
- Confirm and mail reimbursement checks to clients.
- Collaborate with other members of the billing team.
- Collect, process, and allocate funds.
- Update and maintain patient accounts.
- Work closely with insurance claims specialists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in billing or a related field is preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including knowledge of standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and ability to quickly learn software applications.
