Job Summary

FusionSite Services is seeking an experienced and proactive Manager, IT Operations to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure while also driving key IT projects that align with the organization’s strategic goals. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of IT systems and networks, delivering exceptional IT service, and spearheading initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and technology adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee and manage the IT operations team, including network administrators, systems engineers, and helpdesk staff.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation for operational efficiency.
  • Build out and scale the IT service desk to meet organizational growth and user demands.
  • Drive continuous improvement in IT processes, focusing on automation, efficiency, and service delivery.

Service Delivery & Support

  • Monitor and manage IT service delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs and high customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and maintain robust incident management and problem-resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align IT support with organizational needs.
  • Project Management

  • Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, including infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and technology rollouts.
  • Define project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and budgets in alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Manage hardware and software lifecycles, including upgrades and replacements.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of IT systems with industry standards and regulations.
  • Team Development

  • Hire, train, and mentor IT staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide development opportunities for team members.
  • Strategic Planning

  • Participate in the development of IT strategies to align with organizational goals.
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve IT operations and support business growth.
  • Manage IT budgets, including procurement and vendor relationships.
  • Travel

  • Travel up to 25% to support IT operations, lead projects, and collaborate with team members across different locations.
  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience leading IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Experience building and managing an IT service desk and implementing process improvements.
  • Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience with ITIL frameworks and service management.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to balance operational responsibilities and project priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP are a plus.
  • Experience managing hybrid cloud environments and enterprise applications.
