What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stamping Supervisor position at Futaba Indiana of America Corporation?
Description
A Stamping Supervisor must be able to ensure the effective flow of operations and react quickly and efficiently in correcting any issues that may occur. A stamping supervisor must have excellent communication skills, and be able to work together with the other supervisors to train, audit and problem solve.
- Report to Assistant Manager and Manager any problems that may arise
- Work with AM and Manager on the development and implementation of the annual Stamping Hoshin
- Developing and sharing team goals
- Consider factors that affect production such as GSPH, scrap, equipment downtime and material availability; and schedule team work hours accordingly
- Collecting and analyzing data to complete production reports and initiate action if needed
- Verify documentation is being filled out correctly
- Verify quality of parts at random intervals
- Verify team members are following standard work
- Train and enforce company policies
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Verify all quality checks are done correctly
- Verify team members are on time at start of shift, and returning from breaks and lunch
- Work with Team Leaders on kaizen activities to promote continued improvement
Requirements
- Strong Leadership skills, mentoring skills and people skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience supervising as a FIA Team Leader or supervisory experience outside of FIA
- Understanding of FIA processes
- Good math skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of TPS
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office is essential.
