Future Fence Company, founded in 1979, is the largest installer of commercial fence in the state of Michigan and is focused on future growth. Our team of skilled craftsmen build some of the Midwest's most interesting ornamental architectural metal products for bridges, buildings and streetscapes out of a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, stainless and bronze.
Position Summary: Reporting the Plant Manager the Production Control Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring the production process to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of manufacturing projects. This role involves managing production schedules, coordinating material requirements, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with production timelines and quality standards.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet internal goals and customer delivery deadlines.
- Monitor production progress, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary to address bottlenecks or delays.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials required for production.
- Analyze production data, including volume, cost, and performance metrics, to identify areas for process improvement.
- Determine equipment, material and manpower requirements for each job order.
- Plan and monitor material movement in production cycle to ensure continuous operations.
- Analyze current and backlog job orders and accordingly develop production plan and schedules.
- Monitor the execution of job orders and adjust production schedule for timely delivery.
- Work with materials, manufacturing and purchasing departments in identifying and resolving production planning problems.

Qualifications / Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively.
- Detailed orientated with organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease.
- Environment that may be either hot, cold or humid.
