Plant Maintenance Manager

We are in search of a Plant Maintenance Manager based out of our Fairless Hills, PA carpet cushion manufacturing facility. This position reports to the Plant Manager. This is a hands-on position in a manufacturing environment that offers the opportunity to plan, implement, and oversee the plant’s maintenance and continuous improvement activities. This position offers a fast-paced and challenging work environment where independence and creative thinking are the norm. Strong communication and collaboration with all levels of the organization are important to ensure that the environmental and safety needs are met.
Job Summary:
This position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for all maintenance and engineering activities. Responsibilities include motivating the maintenance team and building a strong sense of community. Develop and execute strategies to continuously train and develop the skills of the maintenance technicians. Manage capital projects that utilize both internal and external resources. Participate in the plant management staff to ensure alignment on all operational activities and plans. The ideal candidate will have a background in industrial maintenance, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for leading and developing people. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Drive our Target Zero safety-first culture in all activities.
· Promote One Team culture and strong communication with the team.
· Provide guidance, coaching, and evaluation for the development of team members.
· Coordinate with production to accommodate all necessary repairs and improvements.
· Learn and develop the team to utilize CMMS (Maintain X) program to handle work orders.
· Lead continuous improvement, capital, and maintenance projects.
· Delegate responsibilities and manage the flow of work orders.
· Create bench strength by cross-training 5-6 person department and build a team to handle present and future challenges.
· Continue to implement 5s within the department.
· Continue to develop spare parts management and inventory control.
· Perform other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirement: High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering- preferred
Qualifications:
· 5 years of maintenance and engineering experience
· 2 years of supervisory experience
· Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to successfully lead large capital improvement projects from start to finish while staying within budget
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment, within tight deadlines, and to re-organize workload to meet shifting business needs.
· Display professionalism, and integrity, and have Strong leadership skills ·
· Flexibility to work after hours, and some weekends if needed.
· Auto Cad / Solidworks is a plus but not needed.
