What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control / Material Kitting Technician position at Future Hardware Technology?
This position is for the support of the assembly of cables/harnesses, box assemblies and other items as required. The employee should have the ability to work from bill of materials, kit pull sheets and computerized inventory systems with oversight and assistance.
Future Hardware Technology is an electronic contract manufacturer of cable/harness assemblies, panel assemblies, box assemblies and printed circuit board assemblies. We are looking for someone to assist in our inventory control and material kitting operations.
Knowledge of electromechanical components is a plus.
Familiarity with IPC-620 (Cable/Harness assembly) is a plus.
In house training is provided.
This is a Full time (40 hours per week) position with limited overtime on an as required basis.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clearly communicate with assemblers, and other support organizations status of work orders in process of being kitted.
- Pull materials from existing stock and place in kitting bins per computerized kit pull lists
- Place received materials into kitting bins as items arrive per computerized kit pull lists.
- Restock excess materials from Production into correct locations.
- Cut wire to correct quantity and length based on wire cut lists provided
- Follow written drawings and verbal instructions.
- Strive to meet or exceed time goals for each job performed.
- Support production by providing materials as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills / Requirements,
- Ideal candidates should have at least 1 year of experience with electromechanical devices or inventory control procedures.
- Self motivated person who pays attention to detail and want to learn new skills
- Ability to communicate verbally with supervision, quality and engineering Employees when issues arise.
- Will occasionally be required to work overtime to meet production schedules
- US Citizenship will be required for certain assembly operations due to contractual requirements.
- AA Degree Preferred but not required
