MATERIAL CONTROL (MC) TECHNICIAN - Job Summary:
We are looking for a hard-working individual to help our Material Control Team. A successful Material Control Technician is hard-working, organized, detail-oriented, and should be able to keep accurate records of received and distributed material to the cutting area and production lines.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Schedule:
- Day Shift, 6:30am-6pm, Monday – Friday
General Duties:
- Meeting production targets
- Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
- Following production guidelines and specifications.
- Reporting any issues to the team leader or supervisor on duty.
- Performing other related tasks as assigned.
Material Control Responsibilities:
- Managing the movement of foam and other materials between production departments.
- Ensuring that all necessary materials are available for production processes.
- Keeping accurate inventory records and reporting any discrepancies.
- Receiving & verifying incoming Purchase Orders (PO) for raw materials from the Warehouse Team (foams, boxes, inner/outer covers & accessories) in the MC staging areas.
- Transition all received raw materials from MC areas to cutting and production teams upon Quality Control (QC) confirmation.
- Receiving all production leftover materials and accessories into MC inventory and updating records.
- Organizing the Material Control Areas by arranging items together according to their size, thickness, and type.
- Preparing transitioning paperwork from Warehouse to MC and MC to Cutting and Production

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED, preferred but not required
- No experience needed, we will provide the training and support needed for you to succeed at your job
- Experience operating manufacturing machinery is a plus
- Basic Math and Reading
Physical Requirements:
- Very Heavy work: Lifting and carrying for a short distance up to 50 pounds constantly on your own & up to 100 pounds via team lift frequently during an 11-hour shift.
- Standing: To remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about during an 11-hour shift with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Stooping: Bending the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
- Vision: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work.
- Temperature: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, but, must be able to adapt to cold or hot temperatures.
Working Conditions:
- Air-Conditioned Warehouse and Manufacturing environment.
- This position requires standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks doing heavy lifting.
- The work environment may involve exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and machinery.
- Safety guidelines and protocols must be always followed.
